For seven years now, The Banned have been rocking the punk out of audiences everywhere. In addition to regular episodes of destruction at local New York clubs, their do-it-yourself rock and roll mission has taken them on six national tours. They also caused an international disturbance by playing a few dates in Canada. The group consists of three brothers (no kidding) and one non-relation, although many members have come and gone along the way.
The Banned released an eight-song CD, Songs of Innocence and Experience, in May 2001. Around the same time, they abandoned their Luddite philosophy and got themselves a website, which you are viewing right now. In January of 2003 they recorded Imitating Art, a full-length album that was released in May. Watch for The Banned this winter, as they loot and pillage towns all over the eastern seaboard.
